Life On An Island is a DIY collective founded in 2006. Originally based in Long Island New York, the community is currently centered in Brooklyn and has grown to include contributors from around the world. We do limited-edition, short run releases of new music and dusty songs to share the work of artists we encounter. The artists you find on these pages release songs through a wide variety of labels. This site is intended to provide a little bit of context as to where all this music is coming from.
